Exhausted!!!
Whew... I'm SO glad it's Saturday! As most of you know, this was my big week at work ~ we moved our unit! It was a very successful move. Everyone worked together so well, they were all upbeat & excited, and most importantly... we moved all of our patients and families without incident.
Behind the scenes... it wasn't necessarily the same story. On Monday, Jason & I had a small flood in our laundry room. Our hot water heater went out and for some reason was leaking from the both the top and bottom. Jason came to the rescue (after calling his father of course) and drained the tank, turned off our water... you know - all the stuff you are supposed to do when this happens. I was just ready to call a plumber! Thank God my mom and grandma are right next door & had hot water for me to shower!!!
Wednesday morning... my hair dryer went out. I was able to get my hair dry enough to be presentable at work. However... I forgot about it until Thursday when I woke up, was running late, and didn't have an extra second to deal with it. Keep in mind - my hair does not do well without being blown dry. Those of you who have seen me at the lakes know... :) So, once again - Mom & Grandma came to the rescue. I came running through their door about 6:00 a.m. searching for the hairdryer.
Cole dislocated his shoulder again. This has to be round number 5 or 6. So, he had a nice little trip to the Emergency Department (the day my unit moved) and is looking at another surgery. Poor Cole... it looks like he'll have another summer without water sports!
Things can always be worse! I'm very thankful for a wonderful family & great friends!
