It's always great to be home...

I am back! WHEW! What a week. We had a great time, I learned a lot, and my presentation went very well. We received excellent feedback from attendees & one person even came up to me at the end and said, "If my husband or I are ever sick... I want YOU as my nurse!" It's comments like that one that make it all worth it! Now it's back to work. I have spent the past two days catching up on homework and preparing for classes this week.

A thought for all of the nurses out there, and even non-nurses. Each NTI, the president-elect reveals the theme for the upcoming year. The 2011 theme is "Stand Tall". I absolutely love it and think that it's very fitting for our profession. I hope these words of wisdom guide my daily practice and simply guide the way I live my life! It seems so straight-forward, yet so many of us miss it!
