Happy New Year!!!

This year, Jason & I were invited up north to Clear Lake to celebrate the New Year with my friend, Shaun. Shaun & I met through the ACNP program and have become very good friends! We had a great time! They catered a delicious dinner, followed by an 'open bar' where we enjoyed many drinks! As the evening went on, Jason geared up for the annual Polar Bear Dip!

Each year, the men 'dip' into the ice cold lake water! As you can see, there is a perfect hole surrounded by solid ice! The hole is created from where their Geo-Thermal heat empties into the lake water, circulating the water so it does not freeze. Jason was a champ and even posed for this picture!

The hot tub was a perfect end to the Polar Bear Dip!!!

Alan, "The Duck"

After dinner, Alan disappeared for a few minutes, only to return in this priceless attire. Yes... swim trunks, a t-shirt, boat shoes, and a ducky towel. Alan wore this from about 9pm until he left at 2 am soaking wet from the Polar Bear Dip!

We had a BLAST! A special thank you to the Hart family for the invitation! You were excellent hosts & your home is beautiful!!!
