Here are our two dogs, Bo & Brady. After the devastation of having to put our Great Dane, Paxton, down... I was having tearful nights missing the company of a pet. So, Jason... being the 'fix-it' man that he is... was on a mission. He happens to work by a local animal rescue, ARF. So, one day after work he stopped in 'just to look'. It didn't take long. He had me on the phone within minutes and he had found the next addition to our family. or should I say 'additions'. I can remember talking to him in the car on my way to ARF saying... "We don't need a dog. And... we certainly do not need two!" Needless to say... it took one look and we were writing a check to adopt!
They are originally from Kentucky, but were rescued by ARF one day before they were going to be euthanized. WHEW... lucky for us! ARF named them Pedro & Fredo. We quickly changed their names to Bogart "Bo" & Brady. Why Bo & Brady? Well... I simply searched baby names online and it took so long... I was loosing my patience. By the time I got to the "B's", I had to make a decision. Plus, Jason is a big Tom Brady fan... so it was 'meant-to-be'!
We wish we knew their story. We constantly find ourselves asking... "I wonder where they were this time last year? Were they in a loving home, lost from another family, or on their own in the wild?" We've seen on the news were families have had to give up their pets due to loosing their homes in today's economy. Are these dogs victims of that? We've come to the conclusion we will never know their story. We're just thankful that our paths crossed! Now... we will just create Our Story!
