A few weeks ago we celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday. My mother hosted a wonderful open-house style party where over 75 people came to wish Grandma a happy birthday. (I don't think 75 people would come to my 31st birthday, let alone my 80th!)For those of you who know my grandmother, you know that she is the most kind and giving person on this earth. I swear God broke the mold when he made her! During my 1st year of marriage to Jason, I remember my grandfather surprising grandma with a beautiful diamond ring for Christmas. I can remember coming home that night and telling Jason that "he needed to be more like my grandpa". Jason replied with ... "sure that's fine... when you are more like your grandmother!" That was the end of it! She's absolutely amazing & I know that I could never even come close to becoming the woman that she is today. She walks circles around me!
Grandma, I hope you had a fantastic birthday! You are so very special to our family! I hope to celebrate many more birthdays with you! I love you!!!
P.S.... I hope to look 1/2 as good as you do when I am 80!
